Why an MID meter?
Your charging earns EREs when the delivered kWh are measured reliably. For home chargers that requires an MID-certified meter inside the charger itself. MID stands for the European Measuring Instruments Directive; such a meter is approved for billing.
A charger without an MID meter often measures fine for your own insight, but that reading does not count for registration. For home chargers, a separate meter in the meter cupboard does not solve that.
Is your charger listed?
Also check the rating plate: manufacturers sometimes sell versions with and without an MID meter under almost the same name. If your model is not listed, search the charger check or send us the brand and model.
